About the role

  • Ensure compliance with the firm's policies and guidance, and adherence to professional standards.
  • Achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers.
  • Secure and enhance relationships with senior client management.
  • Assign teams that will exceed client's expectations in terms of performance, evaluations, mentoring, managing client expectations, and identifying additional client needs.
  • Maintain active communication with both partners and clients to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify, document and communicate any changes to the scope of work.
  • Mentor staff members in their professional development and career planning.
  • Provide on-the-job performance feedback and periodic performance reviews.
  • Identify training needs of staff members.
  • Identify and manage complex issues and maintain active communications with clients on those issues.
  • Manage risk to the firm by adhering to the risk management policies and procedures and ensuring significant risks are identified.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in big 4 corporate finance teams
  • CA (SA) and/or CFA
  • Ability to use S&PCapital IQ and other external data sources to extract relevant valuation inputs
  • Ability to interrogate forecast financial data including income statements, cash flow waterfalls and enterprise and equity free cash flows
  • Ability to calculate discounts rates including Ke, Kd and WACCs
  • Ability to perform valuations using the income approach, cost approach and market approach
  • Key specialization in specific industries
  • Experience in performing fair and reasonable opinions
  • Experience in building and auditing project finance models
