About the role
- Develop and document architectural designs for software solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring that the architecture aligns with the overall technology strategy
- Support the planning, execution and delivery of engagements including technology transformations and technology related services
- Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication with team members and leadership on progress
- Build strong internal relationships within EY Technology Consulting and across the other service lines we work with and support
- Support the growth of the practice through development of relevant industry and technology Thought Leadership material
- Ensure and adhere compliance to EY quality and risk management processes across projects and other interactions
Requirements
- An undergraduate or graduate degree
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years as a solution architect, platform architect or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, SOA), and design principles
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with frameworks and libraries
- Solution Architecture experience in data and API integration technologies inclusive of designing and implementing integrations in complex environments using technologies such as HTTP, REST, SOAP and JSON etc
- Experience in enterprise applications, ERPs and CRM systems; ideally across multiple applications and vendors (Oracle, MicroSoft, Salesforce, Kraken, Infor, Deltek, Workday etc)
- Experience in implementing Information Security Governance, principles and technical techniques to protect information systems
- Experience in innovative and emerging technology e.g. AI/GenAI
- Experience in cloud-based technology e.g Azure, AWS
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.
- Relevant certifications across different platforms such as AWS, TOGAF, Azure or related PM certifications – Agile, Scrum, ITIL certification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technology challenges and develop innovative solutions
- Ability to use effective written and verbal business communication skills when interacting with clients and team members.
