About the role

  • Work closely with clients to help them navigate complex new and existing regulations, ensuring compliance while driving business success.
  • Manage the team to provide strategic legal and regulatory advice, drive regulatory implementation projects, and collaborate with financial institutions' C-level, compliance and legal teams.
  • Take ownership and responsibility of projects and client accounts.
  • Play a pivotal role in managing engagements and contributing to go-to-market strategies, translating client challenges into clear, strategic outcomes.
  • Manage client accounts, business development, and help shape the future of EY’s Legal & Regulatory services.
  • Balance substantive legal and regulatory work with managerial responsibilities focusing on client relationship building, opportunity spotting and supporting go-to-market efforts.

Requirements

  • (Belgian) Master's degree in Law
  • Professional experience (between 8 – 10 years), either within a consultancy firm, law firm or financial institution.
  • Solid knowledge of financial.
  • Ability to perform in-depth and creative analysis to be able to find pragmatic solutions for our client’s challenges.
  • Outstanding client stakeholder management skills and ability to build and expand client relationships.
  • Perfect oral and written knowledge of Dutch and/or French, with an excellent knowledge of English.
  • The right level of managerial and commercial skills.
  • Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy.
