About the role
- Design and develop BDC assets and scripts for automated data upload and conversion into SAP systems
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants to gather field mappings, transaction codes, and data rules
- Integrate BDC tools with ETL processes and pipelines hosted on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks)
- Ensure exception handling, logging, and reporting mechanisms for BDC execution outcomes
- Conduct unit testing, data validation, and post-migration reconciliation
- Document migration processes and maintain technical artifacts for audit and compliance
Requirements
- 5+ years of SAP development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field
- Strong hands-on experience with BDC, SAC, Datasphere, BW, LSMW, and IDoc-based data loading in SAP
- Good understanding of SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, etc.)
- Familiarity with integration patterns involving SAP and cloud-based data platforms
- ABAP debugging and troubleshooting skills
