About the role Respond to patient inquiries related to billing, insurance claims, payments, and statements via phone, email, and chat Assist patients in understanding charges, EOBs, coverage, deductibles, co-pays, and payment plans Collect and process patient payments accurately and securely Collaborate with insurance verification and revenue cycle teams to resolve denied or delayed claims Educate patients on financial policies, insurance processes, and available support options Document all interactions in CRM/EHR systems with precision and compliance (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) Identify patterns in billing issues and suggest process improvements to reduce patient friction Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred). 2+ years’ experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, insurance claims, or revenue cycle management. Proficiency with EHR/CRM systems and payment processing platforms; strong Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills. Understanding of HIPAA, PCI compliance, and insurance terminology (EOBs, CTP Codes, Diagnosis Codes, Deductibles, Co-Pays). Experience in a telehealth, multi-state, or large outpatient provider environment. Familiarity with revenue cycle improvement initiatives or patient financial counseling.
