About the role

  • Come build Optimization tools for Amazon Supply Chain.
  • Our Research team builds decision support tools for supply chain processes across multiple countries.
  • Develop our labor optimization models using Mixed Integer Programming, Linear Programming or Heuristic search.
  • Work closely with our program partners to define business requirements, build data pipeline, write optimization code and deep dive on solution quality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in field of Optimization building Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming models.
  • Experience with commercial solvers like Gurobi, FICO Xpress or IBM CPLEX
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language. Python preferred
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts who may be remote
  • Ability to tackle big, incompletely specified problems and resolve ambiguity in the customer's favor.
  • Ability to drive consensus within a team and influence outcomes in significant technical decision-making.
