Design and develop stored procedures, functions, views, and other database objects to support application and reporting workloads.
Build and maintain relational database schemas, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity.
Develop automated processes for importing, cleansing, and transforming external datasets.
Optimize SQL queries and execution plans by tuning joins, subqueries, and indexing strategies.
Create and maintain data-centric APIs (REST or GraphQL) that provide structured data access to application teams.
Develop reporting solutions to support business stakeholders.
Support on-prem to cloud database migrations and contribute to cloud database management efforts.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and data reliability.
Maintain documentation for database structures, data flows, and operational processes.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
Advanced skills in writing stored procedures, functions, and optimized SQL queries.
Experience designing and maintaining relational database schemas and indexes.
Hands-on experience with data import/export pipelines and ETL workflows.
Ability to tune query performance and analyze execution plans.
Familiarity with API integration (REST or GraphQL).
Experience with reporting tools or frameworks.
Understanding of cloud-based databases (Azure SQL or equivalent).
Proficiency with Git/GitHub for version control.
