About the role
- Lead senior and junior data scientist team to create models for a variety of healthcare-related solutions.
- Participate in the development, validation and delivery of algorithms, statistical models and reporting tools using healthcare data.
- Solve complex analytical problems with healthcare domain knowledge and strong technical background.
- Develop, validate and execute algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions.
- Explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms.
- Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
- Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that help generate insights and address reporting needs.
- Use data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and to support business decisions.
- Create and evaluate the data needs of assigned projects and assure the integrity of the data.
- Document projects including business objectives, data gathering and processing, detailed set of results and analytical metrics.
Requirements
- Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in Programming and analytic experience in study design and methodologies within healthcare domains.
- Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Healthcare domains and healthcare data (e.g. claims, EHR, etc);
- R, Python, SAS, Pyspark, SQL, Advanced MS Excel, and Tableau;
- Hadoop, Azure, or Databricks;
- Applying econometrical/psychological/sociological research methods such as survey design, experimental design, causal inference to healthcare analytics;
- Cloud computation with healthcare data;
- Working with healthcare large data sets from multiple data sources;
- Data modeling, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization;
- Handling client requests, requirements and challenges in healthcare domains;
- Bridging clinical team and data team for various healthcare projects.
- Employer will also accept a doctorate degree plus two (2) years of experience in the Programming and analytic experience in study design and methodologies within healthcare domains in lieu of a Master’s degree plus three (3) years of experience in the Programming and analytic experience in study design and methodologies within healthcare domains.
