About the role
- Own and manage the monthly close process, including review of journal entries
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AR, AP, and cash management
- Understand, develop, and document accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP
- Perform technical accounting research and documentation as needed
- Coordinate the annual audit process with external auditors
- Partner with FP&A to support budget and forecast development
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting
- Supervise, train, and mentor 1–3 accounting team members
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Experience in accounting leadership role
- Prior experience with healthcare industry and joint venture environments is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable in a remote work environment with occasional travel
