About the role
- Prepare, validate and upload payroll input data including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, overtime and deductions
- Review payroll reports for accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure calculations align with company policies and statutory requirements
- Work closely with external payroll providers to coordinate monthly payroll cycles and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity within HRIS and payroll systems
- Support month-end and year-end payroll activities including reconciliations, tax filings and audits
- Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and within SLA
- Collaborate with Finance on payroll journals, GL reconciliation, funding requests, and reporting
- Assist in implementing process improvements, automation, and payroll system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with audit controls, internal policies, and country-specific legislation
- Generate standard and ad-hoc payroll reports for internal stakeholders
- Support payroll-related projects such as system upgrades, new country onboarding, and vendor transitions
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll operations, preferably in a multi-country environment
- Strong knowledge of local payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory reporting
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience of using external payroll providers platforms (e.g., ADP, Bakertilly, Deel, Alphastaff)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Effective communication skills and stakeholder management experience
- Degree in Finance, HR, Accounting, or related field preferred; payroll certification is a plus
