About the role

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers through mentorship, feedback, and career development.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure architectural and code quality standards are met.
  • Support design and code reviews, ensuring engineering best practices are followed.
  • Partner with product management and design to refine requirements and translate them into actionable engineering plans.
  • Drive operational excellence: monitoring system health, ensuring reliability, and managing technical debt.
  • Own the end-to-end execution of engineering projects, from planning to delivery.
  • Establish and enforce repeatable processes for sprint planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Anticipate risks and proactively resolve blockers to keep projects on track.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to manage dependencies and ensure alignment.
  • Track and report on delivery metrics (velocity, quality, timelines).
  • Manage escalations and ensure issues are addressed with urgency and ownership.
  • Inspire a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in engineering management or technical program management roles.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams through complex projects with multiple dependencies.
  • Strong project and program management skills; comfortable with Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong technical foundation (experience in Python, Data pipelines, cloud platforms).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for building great teams and delivering impactful software.
