About the role
- Develop and prepare engineering drawings, models and plans from sketches, preliminary concepts, engineering calculations and descriptive specifications
- Ensure drawings comply with specification documents and design data
- Produce manufacturing drawings according to requirements and release them to production
- Complete customer documentation for maintenance and spare parts
- Adapt standard mechanical designs to meet specific customer needs
- Calculate dimensional chains and specify geometric tolerances for each part in accordance with applicable standards
- Ensure part manufacturability and validate assemblies (DFM/A)
- Support system integration in the laboratory and update drawings as required (as-built)
- Process engineering changes through the ECN (Engineering Change Notice) process
- Analyze and resolve raised issues using a structured approach
- Work closely with your supervisor and colleagues to prioritize, track and communicate tasks and projects
- Perform other related duties as requested by your supervisor
Requirements
- D.E.P. in Industrial Drafting or D.E.C. in Mechanical Engineering
- 1 to 3 years of experience in drafting and design of high-technology products
- Experience with SolidEdge, SolidWorks and/or Inventor is an asset
- Knowledge and experience with ERP and PLM software is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
