About the role
- Coordination of closing activities between internal functions, the CAO in Singapore and Infosys as our external service provider for accounting transactions
- Close collaboration with EMEA Finance, Treasury & Tax departments
- Ownership of, and close business partnering with HR on, payroll and pension accounting
- Account and subledger reconciliation
- Management of deferrals and accruals
- Management of external service providers for IFRS to local GAAP translation (where required in our branch locations)
- Coordination of the end-to-end audit process with E&Y
- Regular updates to local management on key variances in the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements versus prior year and budget
- Support for global systems and process harmonization (e.g., OneStream implementation, travel & expense, cash pool, credit & collections, etc.)
- Active engagement in improvement initiatives (e.g., working capital optimization, simplification and automation of MEC processes, etc.)
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting with focus on IFRS / HGB
- Minimum 7 years of experience in comparable roles
- Proven track record in managing closing, consolidation and audit processes
- Practical, management-level experience across all major accounting topics
- Problem-solving mindset
- Experience managing SSCs / third-party providers
- Business partner mindset
- Team player in a multinational matrix organization
- Fluent in English and German
