Vice President

• Set the long-term hardware product strategy and roadmap for EVgo’s fast charging network
• Translate company goals, market needs, customer feedback, regulatory requirements, and financial targets into product priorities
• Build business cases covering customer value, costs, lifecycle economics, competitive advantage, and expected business impact
• Define success metrics and decision criteria for roadmap priorities and investment tradeoffs
• Lead the full hardware product lifecycle from concept and requirements through development, launch, monitoring, improvement, and sunset
• Own product requirements reflecting customer needs, business goals, field insights, operations, regulations, and stakeholder input
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and Operations on hardware, firmware, compliance, serviceability, and reliability requirements
• Ensure products meet standards for safety, reliability, uptime, customer experience, manufacturability, and total cost of ownership
• Act as senior decision-maker for hardware product questions and drive alignment across teams
• Communicate progress, risks, decisions, and requests to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
• Track EV charging hardware, infrastructure, firmware, interoperability, reliability, regulatory, and competitive trends
• Incorporate EV driver, site host, fleet, partner, operations, and field service insights into product decisions
• Define customer journeys, user profiles, benchmarking approaches, and customer experience requirements
• Set priorities, operating rhythms, and standards for product excellence across Hardware Product Management
• Lead the Hardware Product Management team, including product managers and other hardware product management staff
• Build and evolve the hardware product organization’s structure, roles, and operating model
• Set team goals and performance expectations and conduct performance and development conversations
• Recruit, hire, and develop product management talent
• Identify growth opportunities and create development paths for team members
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
