About the role

  • Achieve or exceed the assigned annual grant award goal
  • Stay up to date on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical and health care industries
  • Become an expert in the assigned therapeutic areas through research, discussions with key opinion leaders, and reviewing PRIME’s past programs
  • Understand and articulate PRIME’s differentiators and experience in the assigned therapeutic areas
  • Evaluate outcomes data from past programs to inform persistent gaps that warrant targeted educational interventions
  • Prepare presentations for supporter meetings
  • Track and report on active opportunities through pipeline reports
  • Drive internal and external discussions on new grant opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Scientific Affairs team and other departments on designing innovative grant proposals that target supporter’s areas of interest
  • Lead weekly meetings for updates on new or existing programs
  • Actively manage supporter relationships from pre-submission to the conclusion of the program
  • Maintain ongoing compliant dialogue with supporters and industry stakeholders to achieve goals regarding education and research-informed continuing education
  • Identify and conduct outreach to new prospective supporters
  • Attend industry events to prospect new supporters and stay up to date on the latest developments in your therapeutic area(s)

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (focus in health care preferred, but not required)
  • Prior experience in business development roles, with an ability to build relationships and identify opportunities
  • Prior experience in health care
  • Understanding of the health care industry - therapy development/approval, effectiveness studies/processes, health care policy
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and writing) with high articulation and communication skills
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills, with ability to synthesize and communicate complex information in a concise and easy to understand manner
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Motivated, self-starter
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to travel nationwide, when required
