Manage transmission projects in Massachusetts to ensure all phases are completed efficiently, within scope, on schedule, and within budget
Engineer, design, site, permit and construct assigned projects; manage planning, engineering, siting/permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning and close out phases
Coordinate regulatory approvals and interface with regulators, local elected officials and town department managers
Manage development and evaluation of bid documents for engineering, design and construction and procurement of material and equipment
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, communications plans, change control methodology, detailed project budgets and cash flow
Manage execution of project plans, change control, monthly maintenance and reporting of project scope, budgets and schedules
Manage siting and permitting needs assessments, regulatory filings, environmental assessments and ISO-NE project submittals
Develop required outage and energization plans and long-term outage plan project submittals
Manage project close out, provide clear concise and comprehensive reports for management
Integrate and manage cross functional project teams and work closely with Legal, Regulatory Relations, Purchasing, Communications and all Transmission Business functions
Assigned projects reported to the Manager of Transmission Projects or Manager-Construction and Maintenance Transmission
Requirements
Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position. Eversource will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position.
Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience required
Familiarity with Project Management methodologies is highly desirable
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred), Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, equivalent degree will be considered or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree and Project Management class work are desirable
Professional Engineer’s (PE) License and formal project management (PMP) certification are highly desirable
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required
Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve problems, analyze data, write effective reports and make presentations
Ability to cope with deadlines, manage time, set and manage priorities, define roles and responsibilities and make decisions
Ability to run meetings, motivate others, and interact with others at all levels of the organization
Ability to schedule, plan and manage numerous complex transmission projects concurrently
Self-starter with effective communication skills, including active listening, speaking and writing skills
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
Work will require visiting field construction sites including high voltage substations and utility Rights-of-Way
