Analyzes processes and data and converts this into value added thinking and information and actionable insights
Identifies opportunities for process change or continuous improvement and participates in the acceptance and implementation of the change including the development of in-house analytics tools
Understands information technology solutions and how they apply to business needs
Performs or assists in ad-hoc querying and reporting as requested by Eversource management or personnel
Works with various departments throughout the Company analyzing data and processes and translates their needs into optimization and analytics models and processes
Develops reports, prepares and delivers presentations, writes procedures and performs other activities as needed
Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments
Oversees work as needed including internal and external regulatory reporting, story telling and gets involved in internal and external stakeholder engagement
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in a quantitative field
Minimum of three years of industry experience in data analytics or data engineering
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical and mathematical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts and building functions, required
Experience with electrical utilities and electrical distribution systems, preferred
Demonstrated programming experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Access, SQLite, Python, R and MatLab
Familiarity with PowerBI reporting is a plus
Familiarity with optimization, machine learning models, risk-based models and probabilistic analysis
