About the role
- Provide strategic and day-to-day legal support to Everise’s U.S. and global operations
- Serve as a primary legal advisor on U.S. and global employment matters
- Ensure wage and hour compliance (FLSA and state analogs)
- Advise on matters related to discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and whistleblower claims
- Manage employment and commercial litigation matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements
- Support Everise’s compliance framework across employment, regulatory, and contractual obligations
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior leaders
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 10–12 years of progressive legal experience
- Significant employment and labor law experience (in-house and/or law firm)
- Experience managing employment litigation, arbitrations, and agency matters
- Comfortable appearing in court or before an arbitrator
- Transactional experience, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements
- Experience advising HR and business leaders in a complex organization
- Prior in-house experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting multi-state or global operations preferred
