About the role

  • Develop and implement a technical SEO roadmap focused on optimizing crawlability, indexability, and structured data to drive organic growth
  • Own and prioritize the technical SEO backlog, aligning projects with business objectives and ensuring timely execution
  • Partner with product, marketing, and UX teams to implement SEO best practices across site architecture, internal linking, and user navigation
  • Manage site performance optimizations, including Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile optimization, ensuring a seamless user experience
  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits using industry tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and others to diagnose issues and implement scalable solutions
  • Stay informed about search engine algorithm updates and adjust strategies to maintain and improve search rankings
  • Drive AEO and GEO strategies and execution
  • Utilize tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other SEO tools to track, analyze, and report on site performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain key SEO KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to assess organic traffic impact
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiments to optimize SEO hypotheses and ensure continuous performance improvements
  • Collaborate with product, and development teams to ensure SEO-friendly site architecture and that SEO requirements are integrated into development cycles
  • Work closely with content teams to optimize on-page content and ensure alignment with search intent and overall, SEO strategy
  • Lead discussions and provide expertise on JavaScript SEO, server-side rendering, and other complex technical SEO topics
  • Foster communication and alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders to promote SEO best practices and ensure SEO initiatives are understood across teams
  • Manage the implementation of structured data (JSON-LD, Schema.org) to enhance rich search results, supporting entity-based SEO and improving visibility in search engines
  • Collaborate with content teams to optimize pages for search intent and ensure high-quality, SEO-driven content
  • Provide leadership in identifying opportunities for site improvement and guide the technical team on SEO initiatives
  • Act as a subject matter expert, continuously educating internal teams and stakeholders on technical SEO best practices
  • Lead and mentor junior SEO team members, providing guidance and support in executing SEO tasks and building technical SEO expertise
  • Lead and manage SEO strategies for multiple websites, ensuring consistency and scalability in technical SEO practices across all sites
  • Drive Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) initiatives by aligning SEO goals with user experience improvements and optimizing landing pages for both SEO and conversion performance
  • Work with analytics and UX teams to identify areas for improvement on key landing pages and drive actions to increase conversion rates while enhancing organic traffic
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading SEO teams, guiding both senior and junior team members in achieving goals and fostering a collaborative environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and websites simultaneously, overseeing cross-functional initiatives and maintaining high-quality execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 12+ years of technical SEO experience, with a proven track record of improving search engine visibility and driving organic growth
  • Strong technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development principles
  • Expertise in SEO for large-scale websites, such as eCommerce, SaaS, or content-heavy platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and other SEO and analytics tools
  • Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals, crawling, indexing, structured data, and log file analysis
  • Proficiency in implementing and maintaining structured data (JSON-LD, Schema.org)
  • Experience with WordPress CMS, CDNs, robots.txt, hreflang, canonical tags, and site migrations
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights to improve SEO performance
  • Experience collaborating with product teams, engineering, UX and content teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented at scale
  • Proven experience managing multiple websites and implementing scalable SEO strategies across diverse platforms.
