About the role
- Oversee implementation of EHS programs and performance for Evapco Midwest facilities
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure effective EHS program deployment
- Develop and deploy a strategy/roadmap for EHS program maturation
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to EHS program development
- Conduct EHS program audits and develop corrective actions
- Facilitate incident investigations using root cause analysis tools
- Develop and deploy EHS related training and awareness programs
- Update management on EHS program status and key performance indicators
- Provide direction regarding EHS program implementation and maintenance
- Lead one direct report in coaching and professional development
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading EHS in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in an EHS related field of study (preferred)
- Systems-based thinker that can architect sustainable EHS programs
- Ability to balance big picture, strategic thinking with tactical expertise
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills to work within Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to engage stakeholders to gain consensus
- Ability to analyze data while remaining comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience conducting audits and developing action plans
- Ability to summarize complex ideas and programs down to simple concepts
- Develop EHS training content with learning objectives and engaging content
- Exhibit strong leadership, program development and project management skills
- Experience developing leading and lagging metrics for EHS performance indicators
