Job Level
About the role
- The AWS Cloud Engineer / Tech Lead will play a central role in: designing and operating the AWS-based infrastructure,
- industrializing deployment and operations processes (IaC, CI/CD, Observability),
- strengthening cloud governance and operational standards,
- building internal team competencies to reduce external dependencies,
- ensuring the performance, security, cost-optimization and sustainability of operational processes.
- You will help shape the cloud roadmap and establish architecture, operations, and security standards — pragmatic, transparent and scalable.
- You are responsible for building, operating and continuously improving our AWS platform (compute, networking, storage, security) — with a focus on stability, performance and scalability.
- You drive automation and engineering excellence: Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD, reliable deployments and strong observability (logs, metrics, tracing, alerts).
- You lead the platform towards containerization and modernization (Docker, ECS/EKS/Fargate), standardize runtime and packaging approaches, and support teams with replatforming and migrations.
- You ensure security and compliance (IAM, segmentation, hardening) and support audits and risk assessments.
- You strengthen the team through coaching, reviews and thorough documentation (architecture, runbooks, deployment templates), enabling true self-service.
- You keep cost and efficiency in focus (FinOps: transparency, rightsizing, optimizations) and assist with complex issues at 3rd-level support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+5) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems or cloud engineering.
- At least 3 years of hands-on AWS production experience.
- Experience with cloud migration or modernization projects.
- Experience with hybrid environments (On‑Premises + AWS); Azure experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services: EC2, VPC, Security Groups, RDS, S3, IAM and managed services.
- Solid experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Fargate, EKS).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Familiarity with common observability tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, etc.).
- Strong networking knowledge (routing, VPN, load balancing, DNS, segmentation).
- Deep understanding of cloud security standards.
- Ability to produce clear and maintainable technical documentation.
