AI Project Manager

Artificial Intelligence

• Lay the foundations of a new discipline (AI on blockchains): Conduct foundational research at the intersection of AI and Ethereum—multi-agent systems coordination, decentralization of key components in the AI stack, AI system validation, and privacy.
• Close the chasm between Ethereum and AI communities: Forge relationships and collaborations with AI researchers and practitioners—both industry and academic—through co-writing ERCs/EIPs (such as ERC-8004 which is getting a lot of traction in the ecosystem), contributing to open source AI projects and frameworks, co-authoring papers, and presenting at major conferences.
• Influence the roadmap of the dAI Team: Translate research into applied proposals that improve the Ethereum protocol and ecosystem infrastructure.
• Research in conversation with the community, not in isolation: AI on Ethereum is fundamentally about using the chain as a coordination layer to foster security, privacy, composability, and other properties that centralized AI cannot provide. Staying closely connected to the community is a priority—both by actively sharing new projects and results outwardly, and by drawing inspiration from the many experiments ecosystem teams are running in this emerging field.

• Create bleeding edge LLM based tools to find vulnerabilities in the Ethereum Protocol
• Work with leading industry developers to securely fix and resolve discovered vulnerabilities
• Develop AI tools such as PR security reviewers and tools to review how clients implement specifications
• Work asynchronously and collaborate within a flat, remote global team
• Research, detect, and coordinate remediation of Ethereum protocol vulnerabilities

AI Security Researcher / Engineer

QA Engineer

• Implement and execute reliable, deterministic tests that ensure the robustness of protocol upgrades
• Improve test methods and enhance test infrastructure to improve efficiency and coverage of protocol feature testing
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless code integration and test results
• Contribute to the open-source community by sharing ideas, improvements, and solutions in public channels
• Use technical expertise to enhance testing methods, implement tests for new and existing protocol features, and improve test infrastructure

Software Engineer

• The Ethereum Foundation is a global non-profit dedicated to supporting Ethereum’s long-term success.
• The EF builds and funds developer tooling at all levels of the stack, from languages and compilers to libraries to interact with the chain.
• As Developer Tooling Coordinator, you will help drive strategic technical decisions that shape Ethereum's developer ecosystem.
• This is a technical leadership role that blends hands-on development expertise with strategic planning and resource coordination.
• You'll help tackle critical strategic questions that require deep technical expertise, including: What should our strategy be around language support? How do we balance supporting legacy projects vs. newer promising experiments? What tools should the EF develop internally vs. rely on others? How should AI-assisted development reshape our tooling priorities and what new developer experiences should we enable?
• This role requires someone who can spot emerging trends, contribute to opinionated technical decisions based on leading indicators, and work collaboratively across teams—from diving deep into specific codebases to coordinating with EF leadership on grants and broader support strategy.
• The work environment is non-traditional—remote with optional offices; travel to Devcon/Devconnect; pseudonym work with KYC.
