About the role

  • Lead multiple papermaking technology projects from preparation through to performance validation
  • Translate operational challenges into best in class technical specifications
  • Review and align vendor quotations, and support sourcing during negotiations
  • Lead design reviews, validate operability, maintainability, and safety
  • Provide on-site support during startup phases to ensure successful implementation
  • Conduct feasibility studies, identify and mitigate risks (e.g. using FMEA)
  • Prepare Capex inputs and define Technology Requirement Specifications
  • Steer and develop external suppliers to ensure technical capability
  • Follow up on project outcomes to ensure vendor guarantees are met
  • Coach, and train Engineers and project team members

Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical, Papermaking, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Proven track record in papermaking, process engineering, or vendor-side project roles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects in a manufacturing or industrial papermaking environment
  • Skilled in using Microsoft 365, AutoCAD and 3D modelling tools (e.g., Navisworks, eDrawings)
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to influence, think critically, and adapt to diverse cultural and technical contexts
  • Availability to travel; relocation not requested
  • Fluent in English - All Applicants are requested to deliver their CV in English language
