About the role
- Lead the Architecture team in ensuring IT solutions meet high standards
- Collaborate with development teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Oversee design architecture for new systems and align with business goals
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the IT team
- Peer review designs and chair the Technical Design Authority
- Influence departmental direction and manage reactive Critical Incidents
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical architecture
- Strong understanding of various technologies and platforms
- Contribution/production of high and low level system designs
- Knowledge and application of baseline security principles
- Functional and non-functional requirements experience
- Education to degree level
- Appropriate IT professional qualification
- Extensive knowledge of policing and business operating environments
- Project Management Principles experience
- Passion for technology and understanding of information and communication technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Managerial skills to motivate and inspire team members
