About the role
- Participate in scoping and client meetings to define project requirements
- Manage assigned small and medium sized projects and their activities under the supervision of a Project Manager or Service Delivery Manager
- Collaborate with project stakeholders including business analysts, developers, and clients to build consensus
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, producing status and control reports as required
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively
- Promote IT standards and best practices for project management and system quality
- Prepare quality management and testing plans, and lead assurance activities
- Obtain stakeholder signoff on key deliverables and manage project close-out and lessons learned
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to consulting service opportunities
- Negotiate project scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables with clients
- Work closely with Professional Services, Product Development, and Industry Managers to ensure project success
- Conduct business analysis to support project scoping and client understanding
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience with Esri based GIS applications
- 1+ years’ experience coordinating aspects of a project
- Introductory knowledge of software development methodologies and experience with iterative methodologies such as Scrum and Agile
- Ability & ambition to qualify for CAPM designation
- Demonstrated introductory level experience in and knowledge of current project management tools and techniques
- Demonstrate intermediate level experience in the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, PowerBI, SharePoint, Teams)
- Demonstrated ability to prepare project documents
- University degree in computer science, geography, math or equivalent education and experience
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Interest & experience in Real Estate
- Knowledge and experience with Esri products
- Ambition to working towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Practical experience and working knowledge of MS Project
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with property assessment and mass appraisal software systems
- Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with large government organizations
- Knowledge of International Association of Assessing Officer (IAAO) Standards
- Knowledge of FME and/or Geographic Data Conversion principles.
