About the role

  • Accountable for on-time and high-quality delivery of development work from inception to completion, ensuring that your team can deliver high-quality work products efficiently and consistently.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, including coaching in Agile methodologies, healthy team relationships, and constructive disagreement.
  • Closely track project work, and manage dependencies, risks, and issues , providing mitigation strategies and promptly resolving blockers, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage client expectations and communications , so client is aware of project progress, risks and blockers.
  • Ensure the needs of external stakeholders are understood and met.
  • Identify differences in understanding as they occur; works with the team to problem-solve.
  • Manage all phases of the software development project lifecycle.
  • Deploy project resources efficiently and maintain the project schedule.
  • Proactively facilitate project reporting, including creating artifacts, updating status reports, tracking milestones and action items.
  • Drive the use of SAFe Agile/Scrum and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain the Product Roadmap, Product Backlog, and Sprint Backlogs.
  • Facilitate Daily Stand-Ups, Program Increment planning, Sprint Planning, Refinement, Sprint and Product Demos, Retrospectives, and other related team and cross-team meetings.
  • Utilize tools and reports in JIRA workflow management software to collect, develop and analyze Agile data and metrics, managing progress daily.
  • Maintains information radiators and tracks metrics for the teams, including velocity and burndown charts.

Requirements

  • All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; AND 8+ years as a Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or Product Owner managing scrum teams, including 1+ year in a SAFe environment; OR In lieu of a degree, 8 years of professional IT experience, including 4 years in delivery management, scrum, or product ownership, may be substituted.
  • Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, and/or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification.
  • Fluent with Jira workflow management software.
  • Experience developing product-based roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
