About the role

  • Generate and maintain accurate bill of materials (BOM) for engineering projects, ensuring completeness, correctness, and consistency with project requirements.
  • Manage product data management (PDM) systems, including organizing, updating, and controlling engineering documentation and design files.
  • Create and manage work orders for engineering tasks and projects, coordinating with engineering teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and priorities.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to manage purchase orders (POs), including creating POs, tracking order status, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Support engineering teams in sourcing and procuring components, materials, and equipment needed for projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in inventory management and control, including tracking stock levels, monitoring usage, and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to engineering teams, including scheduling meetings, organizing documentation, and facilitating communication within and across teams.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource utilization in engineering operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar Engineering support role, preferably in a technology or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using product data management (PDM and ERP) software and tools such as SAP, Oracle Cloud, Agile, and Enovia.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other business software tools.
  • Capable of creating new product SKUs and Bill of Material (BOM) using established PLM and SAP systems as well as tracking and managing engineering BOM changes throughout all lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and terminology, including bill of materials (BOM), work orders, and procurement procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges and finding solutions.
