About the role
- Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of products and solutions.
- Review and analyze customer requirements to determine which product will be the best fit.
- Create customer proposals in compliance with company standards and contract language.
- Prepare configurations, equipment lists, clarifications and exceptions in response to customer requests for use by other departments.
- Act as the customer contact regarding quotations, technical information, pricing, scheduling and shipping.
- Coordinate expediting activities with other departments to assure accuracy in pricing, delivery and invoicing.
- Enter orders into the system for customers.
- Make pricing decisions based on previous standards regularly.
- Interact effectively with all levels of employees within the company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the company.
- Follow quality assurance policies and other work instructions.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks assigned by the General Manager or Sales Manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience (Inside or technical sales preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English is required
- Strong interpersonal skills with listening, consultative and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or other
- Can handle complex projects and tasks independently within established standards
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities at a time and be self-motivated and proactive
- Thrives in a team environment with an appreciation of aggressive goals
- Possesses a Typing speed of 50 WPM or faster.
