About the role
- Lead and guide a team of 5–6 Process Engineers/Metallurgists/Process Technicians to ensure quality, productivity and timely completion of tasks
- Check and review work performed by members of the process team and manage allocation of work
- Contribute to business development activities including client meetings and technical presentations
- Provide mentoring, leadership and professional development to the process team
- Develop, review and implement workflow processes and procedures
- Develop, manage and interpret laboratory/pilot metallurgical test work programs; participate in test work at laboratory and customer sites
- Write and review test work reporting, sales proposal technical content, business cases and technical whitepapers
- Perform calculations related to equipment sizing and process design for commercial bid packages
- Provide commissioning, operation and optimization support at clients’ sites
- Resolve technical and process design challenges; perform troubleshooting using root cause analysis
- Prepare and review equipment datasheets, control philosophy and other technical documentation
- Collaborate with global Eriez offices while working from Lima office
Requirements
- Metallurgical or Chemical engineering degree
- More than 17 years of relevant experience in mineral processing research, engineering and/or operations
- Able to travel within Peru and internationally up to 30% - 50% of the time
- Strong operational and technical knowledge of flotation
- General knowledge about Laboratory and pilot scale test works
- Full proficiency in English (written, spoken and listening comprehension)
- Strong leadership skills, including assigning tasks and working independently
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
