About the role
- Advise on all aspects of real estate development and portfolio management, including land acquisition and the development of data center campus
- Work closely with stakeholders across functions: Corporate Development, Real Estate, Design & Construction, Energy, Country General Managers and local teams
- Provide clear, commercially-focused legal advice to support Equinix’s strategic objectives
- Identify legal risks and propose pragmatic solutions to support the company’s growth
- Collaborate closely with legal colleagues responsible for other EMEA markets or other legal areas
- Instruct and manage external law firms effectively to support our projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes, document templates and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with several years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both
- Expertise in real estate, construction, energy or infrastructure projects; demonstrable competence in at least two of these areas is preferred
- Experience in the data center industry is an advantage but not essential
- Willingness to learn new areas as required
- Proficiency in French and English; Spanish or Italian is a plus
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions is advantageous
