About the role
- Own the development of Equinix‑aligned, customer-specific and industry-specific ROI models, business cases, and value frameworks using commercially grounded and defensible assumptions.
- Translate complex industry and customer dynamics into crisp, compelling value narratives aligned to Equinix’s platform and value proposition.
- Produce tangible, high‑quality deliverables — especially Excel-based financial models, scenario analyses, business justification packs, and customer-ready value storytelling assets.
- Operate as a player‑coach: executing hands‑on modeling and analysis while mentoring team members, building repeatable methodologies, and shaping the Value Engineering discipline at Equinix.
- Analyze the capital markets landscape to identify high‑value use cases for Equinix-enabled infrastructure (e.g., low‑latency trading, market data aggregation, multi‑cloud connectivity).
- Develop economic value analyses that demonstrate the incremental value of Equinix vs. traditional approaches, highlighting measurable ROI and competitive advantages.
- Identify buyer profiles and key purchase criteria for HFT (high-frequency trading) and adjacent segments such as market makers, quant firms, exchanges, and liquidity providers.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales and Solutions Architecture to unlock complex, high‑impact deployments requiring deep capital markets understanding and ecosystem orchestration.
- Bring deep Capital Markets expertise with additional exposure to Financial Services, Life Sciences, Industrial, or other key verticals.
- Apply structured, hypothesis-driven thinking to assess customer environments and identify material value drivers across industries where Equinix competes.
- Integrate trends in AI, automation, cloud migration, and digital transformation into value frameworks and customer‑facing business cases.
- Partner closely with the Equinix Marketing organization to define value creation narratives and business‑case justification that enable compelling storytelling across campaigns and GTM initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience, ideally with top‑tier management consulting firm at the Associate or Senior Associate level or equivalent strategic roles.
- Experience with leading or supporting consulting projects (preferably digital infrastructure) demonstrating the ability to quickly enter complex problem environments and deliver immediate value.
- Strong business and industry acumen.
- Capital Markets expertise is required; additional experience in Financial Services, Life Sciences, Industrial, or other key verticals is a plus.
- Experience in AI-driven or digital transformation engagements is required.
- Proven customer‑facing experience with a track record of driving business outcomes through clear business case development and ROI analysis.
