About the role
- Drive growth by selling Equinix solutions to expand existing accounts, focusing on large domestic and global enterprises.
- Lead strategic account planning, manage complex multi-region/multi-metro sales cycles, and coordinate extended sales teams through negotiations and solution delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Conduct quarterly business reviews and lead executive briefings to identify new opportunities.
- Develop and execute global, multi-line-of-business account plans. Research customer business landscapes to uncover priorities and align solutions.
- Identify customer needs and deliver tailored Equinix solutions. Present and adapt pitches for C-level executives, leveraging internal and external partners.
- Monitor opportunities in Salesforce, forecast accurately, and prioritize accounts for short- and long-term growth.
- Lead commercial negotiations and renewals to protect revenue. Utilize internal resources to optimize deal structures and terms.
- Mentor junior sales professionals, lead special projects, and share best practices across the team.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of B2B enterprise sales experience in IT, telecom, or data center environments
- Proven success in managing global accounts headquartered in Germany
- Deep understanding of industry challenges and digital transformation trends
- Strong network with decision-makers in large enterprises
- Experience collaborating with channel partners and leveraging industry associations
- Existing relationships in Content & Digital Media and Cloud & IT Services verticals preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven track record in enterprise sales and global account management
- Native German and Fluent English
