About the role

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including product, business, and sales partners
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to simplify complex problems and dive deeper if needed
  • Manage teams with cross-functional skills including software, quality, reliability engineers, project managers, and scrum masters
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior and senior software, quality, and reliability engineers
  • Collaborate with technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with secure software development guidelines and meet KPIs
  • Define, maintain, and report SLA, SLO, SLIs in partnership with product, engineering, and architecture teams
  • Drive technical documentation including support, end-user documentation, and run books
  • Lead Sprint planning, Sprint retrospectives, and other team activities
  • Create and deliver technical presentations to various stakeholders
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and talent development to ensure high-performing teams
  • Develop long-term technical vision and roadmap within and beyond team scope
  • Oversee systems designs within broader area and review product/system development code

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required
  • 5+ years’ experience in Team and People Management
  • Experience developing accessible technologies
  • Ability to learn other coding languages as needed
  • Ability to write high quality, robust, and maintainable code
  • Experience debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software
  • Excellent communication skills, sharp analytical abilities, and proven design skills
  • Detailed knowledge of modern software development lifecycles including CI/CD
  • Ability to operate across a broad and complex business unit with multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding of the key aspects of finance as related to Technology
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, with a passion for learning and researching new work methods and technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with team members at various levels.
