About the role

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, stable, and efficient test automation frameworks for API and UI layers.
  • Develop automated API test suites using Java, REST-assured, and TestNG for functional, integration, and performance testing.
  • Build and maintain reliable UI automation using Selenium for React-based web applications.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Codefresh) for continuous quality feedback.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to define and execute comprehensive test strategies.
  • Manage and report test execution status, metrics, and results using TestRail and Allure Reports.
  • Contribute to performance and load testing to ensure system stability under high traffic.
  • Review application code for testability, performance, and robustness.
  • Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and effective test design.
  • Debug and analyze logs and system metrics to identify root causes of defects.
  • Drive adoption of modern QA tools and methodologies, including leveraging AI for test case generation and optimization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in Java or another object-oriented programming language.
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining API automation frameworks (REST-assured).
  • Expertise in UI automation using Selenium or similar tools.
  • Experience with test management tools like TestRail and reporting tools such as Allure.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and integrating automation into pipelines.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka/Event Hubs).
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Working knowledge of databases (MongoDB or SQL) and query analysis.
  • Experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to enhance test development.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
  • Background in fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments.
