About the role
- Lead the global billing function, strengthen operational processes, and drive improvements that ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing across multiple geographies and business lines.
- Grow and develop a high-performing billing team, improve change-management effectiveness, and elevate the consistency and reliability of all billing activities to support a seamless Quote-to-Cash experience.
- Direct a global team of billing operations professionals to deliver accurate, on-time billing, crediting, and invoicing aligned with forecast expectations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional Quote-to-Cash partners and business operations stakeholders to support enterprise initiatives and operational improvements.
- Ensure timely management of all customer billing support inquiries by overseeing the team responsible for billing support tickets and resolution workflows.
- Drive and monitor the execution of departmental projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing business plans, removing obstacles, allocating resources, and partnering with IT and PMO.
- Support strong change-management practices by improving communication, documentation, process adoption, and operational readiness across teams.
- Assess and ensure procedural and regulatory compliance by maintaining consistency across billing processes, overseeing audits, and benchmarking against emerging best practices.
Requirements
- 11+ years of progressive operations experience, ideally within billing operations, shared services, or financial operations environments.
- 6+ years managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach and multiple service types.
- Experience developing and managing billing staff, including coaching, scaling, and performance management.
- Experience using and/or implementing software and billing systems within a multi-company or multi-location environment.
- Knowledge of international accounting practices, including multi-currency translation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and process-driven thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong internal partnerships.
- Strong team-building skills with a customer-service orientation.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience); Master’s degree preferred.
