About the role
- Establish and chair the cross-functional Data Review Board to resolve cross-organizational metric definitions and schema discrepancies.
- Establish and maintain the business KPI glossary and metric lineage; publish change logs and release notes.
- Build enterprise alignment around shared definitions of success, proactively managing tradeoffs and conflicts across functions and regions.
- Develop and maintain data governance protocols covering access, retention, and quality controls.
- Oversee the team that manages end-to-end delivery of executive dashboards and operational reports, mentoring them as needed.
- Translate leadership questions into technical work orders and executive-level reporting.
- Embed the enterprise KPI framework into monthly, quarterly, and annual operating and reporting rhythms.
- Serve as the final quality gate for KPI accuracy and confidence across Executive, Board, and Chapter reporting.
- Deliver enterprise performance reporting and insights to executive leadership and the Global Board.
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations on AI strategy, identifying where AI can improve business intelligence and where it introduces risk.
- Develop Data Playbooks and role-based training for staff and volunteer leaders.
- Lead enterprise change adoption by influencing leaders at all levels toward consistent, data-informed decision-making.
- Serve as the Business Product Owner for BI and data platform vendors; negotiate SLAs and hold vendors accountable to performance commitments.
Requirements
- 8–10 years in data/analytics roles with 4+ years leading high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise KPI frameworks, data quality programs, strategic execution, and executive reporting.
- Hands-on familiarity with a modern data stack.
- Experience with data governance, access control, and audit readiness (e.g., GDPR, data retention).
- Strong stakeholder management experience across the organization, with specific experience working with Finance, Technology, and Membership/Programs in a global context.
- Experience translating between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with executives to shape strategy, influence decisions, and drive organizational alignment through data.
- Track record of using data storytelling to persuade, align, and drive action at the executive or board level.
