About the role
- Interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine eligibility for Medicaid benefits
- Assist with application processes for accurate submissions
- Follow-up on submitted applications for timely processing
- Maintain knowledge of state and federal program requirements
- Develop working relationships with Medicaid caseworker partners
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare industry
- Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission and billing
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process
- Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT codes
- Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance highly preferred
- Must demonstrate openness to innovation including AI
