About the role
- Investigates insurance claims in various settings
- Assesses loss or damage from events like weather, earthquakes, and fire
- Conducts property inspections and photographs claim sites
- Obtains necessary information from the claimant and experts
- Recommends proper claim amounts to insurance companies
- Prepares reports to insurance carriers outlining conclusions and recommendations
- Submits reimbursement reports in accordance with policies and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in commercial property loss adjusting; experience with catastrophe claims
- Knowledge of property claim law
- Active license in assigned state(s) or ability to promptly obtain
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and investigative skills
- Conflict resolution and persuasion abilities
- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Xactimate, Corelogic
