About the role
- At EngFlow, we help developers save time by accelerating software builds and tests via a cloud-based distributed remote-execution and caching service
- EngFlow speeds up builds by 10x+ and provides an observability platform for optimization
- As a Technical Writer, create, organize, and publish clear, accurate, user-friendly documentation for EngFlow products
- Create, maintain, and improve user guides, API documentation, tutorials, and FAQs
- Organize and structure documentation to enhance usability and accessibility
- Publish and manage content using documentation platforms and version control systems
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to ensure documentation accuracy and alignment with product developments
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content for developers, DevOps teams, and technical decision-makers
- Maintain consistency and quality via templates, style guides, and content reviews
- Gather user feedback to improve documentation and address common pain points
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing for developer tools, SaaS, or cloud platforms
- Ability to explain complex technical topics in a user-friendly way
- Experience with Markdown, HTML, Git, and documentation tools (e.g., MkDocs, Docusaurus, ReadTheDocs)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, build systems, DevOps, or cloud computing (bonus: Bazel)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bonus: Experience with API documentation (Swagger, OpenAPI)
- Bonus: Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Bonus: Familiarity with developer communities and open-source projects
