About the role
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of EHS programs across TPPL’s Missouri manufacturing facilities and distribution operations
- Ensure regulatory compliance, drive standardization and continuous improvement
- Support expansion initiatives, and advance a strong, sustainable safety culture
- Lead and oversee EHS performance for all Missouri manufacturing and distribution operations
- Drive standardized EHS policies, procedures, and work practices
- Utilize EOS tools, KPIs, A3s, and Rapid Improvement Events to improve EHS performance
- Analyze EHS data to identify trends, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable improvement
- Oversee EHS-related CAPEX projects, budgets, and cost-reduction initiatives
- Provide EHS leadership for facility expansions, equipment installations, and new systems
- Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies; manage permitting, inspections, audits, and compliance reporting
- Lead environmental compliance activities
- Standardize and support wastewater treatment plant operations
- Oversee digital EHS platforms and systems; ensure timely action and closeout
- Lead ISO 14001 standardization and certification efforts
- Oversee third-party risk assessments and corrective action implementation
- Support workers’ compensation case management in partnership with HR
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate EHS requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Safety, or a related technical field
- Ten (10) years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations
- Proven experience with permits, regulatory reporting, and agency interaction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred Master’s degree in a technical or EHS-related field
- Experience in battery manufacturing or related technologies
- Experience with new product introductions and large-scale capital projects
- Required Minimum five (5) years of people leadership experience in EHS
- Lean or continuous improvement experience
