About the role

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of EHS programs across TPPL’s Missouri manufacturing facilities and distribution operations
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, drive standardization and continuous improvement
  • Support expansion initiatives, and advance a strong, sustainable safety culture
  • Lead and oversee EHS performance for all Missouri manufacturing and distribution operations
  • Drive standardized EHS policies, procedures, and work practices
  • Utilize EOS tools, KPIs, A3s, and Rapid Improvement Events to improve EHS performance
  • Analyze EHS data to identify trends, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable improvement
  • Oversee EHS-related CAPEX projects, budgets, and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Provide EHS leadership for facility expansions, equipment installations, and new systems
  • Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies; manage permitting, inspections, audits, and compliance reporting
  • Lead environmental compliance activities
  • Standardize and support wastewater treatment plant operations
  • Oversee digital EHS platforms and systems; ensure timely action and closeout
  • Lead ISO 14001 standardization and certification efforts
  • Oversee third-party risk assessments and corrective action implementation
  • Support workers’ compensation case management in partnership with HR
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate EHS requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Safety, or a related technical field
  • Ten (10) years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations
  • Proven experience with permits, regulatory reporting, and agency interaction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Master’s degree in a technical or EHS-related field
  • Experience in battery manufacturing or related technologies
  • Experience with new product introductions and large-scale capital projects
  • Required Minimum five (5) years of people leadership experience in EHS
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience
