About the role

  • Develop and oversee project implementation activities, including monitoring contract performance of Program Management Contractors (PMCs).
  • Support internal Program Managers in implementing a suite of program initiatives intended to deliver energy savings benefits across a variety of customer segments.
  • Launch and operate new grant funded programs, including the Inflation Reduction Act programs HOMES and HEAR. Maintain a responsibility matrix clarifying accountability and roles of contracted resources and Energy Trust staff.
  • Direct the work of internal and external staff to operate a new program, including, but not limited to, oversight of contracted resources, trade ally and community outreach, operations and project management.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Federally funded program that spans across residential and multifamily homes.
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other departments inside of Energy programs, marketing, and across organizational support teams.
  • Coordinate, review and assist program management contractors in developing various program forms, marketing pieces, project processing and correspondence.
  • Establish clear guidelines and program requirement documentation.
  • Develop strategy and utilize various tools within internal and external systems to track and report on performance of program initiatives.
  • Represent Energy Trust’s program offerings and initiatives in public settings with customers, contractors and stakeholder audiences.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as energy management, public policy, or business administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within the nonprofit sector or energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of residential energy efficiency practices and technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience with budget management and financial reporting in a nonprofit context.
