About the role
- As a Product Designer, you will work as part of a cross-functional product team, becoming the go-to expert for understanding our patients in your squad.
- Your knowledge of patient needs, motivations and behaviours will help shape product strategy and contribute to business objectives that solve meaningful health challenges for real people.
- You’ll work closely with product managers, clinical experts, engineers and design colleagues to develop patient-centred solutions.
- You will be accountable for research and design from start to finish, advocating and driving a collaborative design process.
- This includes discovering patient needs through research and clinical data insights, organising and facilitating ideation sessions with stakeholders and colleagues, then prototyping and validating ideas with real users.
- Your work will lead to ongoing, measurable product improvements that support both patient outcomes and business success metrics.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, able to share design rationale clearly with diverse teams including clinical, regulatory and technical stakeholders
- Deep patient empathy and the ability to represent patient needs, fears, and goals throughout the design process
- A growth mindset that embraces feedback, continuous learning and iteration
- Understanding of the broader healthcare context, including subscription models, regulated care pathways and coaching services
- A structured, process-driven approach that moves from research and insight to ideation, prototyping, testing and delivery
- Attention to detail and craft, particularly where design affects comprehension, trust, and safety
- Leading mixed-method healthcare research, balancing usability, behavioural science and ethical considerations
- Comfort working with product metrics and clinical outcomes data to turn insights into design action
- Experience designing content-heavy flows or regulated messaging that supports motivation, trust, and compliance
- Familiarity with technical constraints, mobile and web platforms, and collaborating closely with engineers
- Working within design systems to ensure visual and interaction consistency across regulated products
- Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG and inclusive design best practices relevant to healthcare
- Mapping and optimising service journeys that blend digital and human touchpoints
- Interest or experience in behavioural science, including health psychology, motivation, and habit formation in digital products
