About the role

  • Responsible for the effective and compliant day-to-day administration and operations support of employee benefit programs.
  • Lead day to day management of U.S. benefit programs.
  • Ensures benefit programs are administered in accordance with the plan documents and applicable regulations.
  • Assists in preparation of legal filings such as Form 5500, ACA reporting, and non-discrimination testing.
  • Partners with plan participants, vendors, key stakeholders and functional partners to ensure tasks are completed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
  • Assess operational administrative and compliance issues that arise, evaluate available alternatives to determine appropriate resolution, including the correction of any identified defects.
  • Support and perform audits of transactions and changes to verify accurate processing.
  • Prepare for and support annual open enrollment, including system updates, testing, communications, and employee assistance.
  • Track enrollment trends and participate in post-enrollment audits.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits.
  • Assist with Vendor Management support.
  • Administer retiree participant benefit changes and inquiries.
  • Review, reconcile and facilitate vendor premiums and invoices.
  • Monitor various mailboxes and respond to benefit inquiries and/or concerns.
  • Manage leave of absence matters and accommodations under the American with Disabilities Act.
  • Coordinate with Employee, HR Business Partners, Legal and Vendor Partner as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all benefit matters by participating in ongoing trainings and continuing education and sharing pertinent information with colleagues.
  • Recommend process improvements to streamline and provide efficiencies through automation and process redesign.
  • Assist with benefits communications, including guides, FAQs, and announcements.
  • Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required with relevant work experience.
  • 2-5 years with various Benefit programs experience; Health and Wellness, Leaves, Disability, Immigration, ADA, Recognition, Mobility
  • Previous experience within an HR Shared Services and Corporate HR function preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS system, Workday is preferred.
  • Strong compliance mindset and ethical standards.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL rules and other applicable government regulations.
  • Solid understanding of different types of benefit plans (retirement, health insurance, etc.) and relevant regulations
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, project management, mathematical and data auditing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional experience demonstrating superior customer service skills while multi-talking and working under pressure of deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities.
  • Reliable with adherence to confidentiality requirements.
