Handle the estimates, proposals, and negotiations for sprinkler installation projects as well as large repair service work covering the state of Massachusetts.
Conduct thorough site visits as required to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and objectives.
Prepare detailed and accurate bids for fire protection projects, considering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overhead expenses.
Conduct analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to accurately estimate costs associated with fire protection system installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Maintain organized documentation of bid documents, correspondence, and pricing information in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Cultivate an in-depth understanding of the territory and market dynamics, enabling informed decision-making and strategic selling approaches.
Engage with internal project management, field construction teams, design professionals, and fellow sales team members to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Build strong relationships with customers and general contractors to create additional job opportunities.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in the fire protection industry is highly preferred though we are open to considering those with less that are able to demonstrate their capabilities
Formal sales experience that extends beyond retail or hospitality.
Experience selling a service (as opposed to a tangible product) is a plus
Proven ability to analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to accurately estimate materials, labor, equipment, permits, and overhead costs.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Knowledge of contract terms and pricing
Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50lbs.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation with willingness to travel to job sites throughout the state
