About the role

  • Manage and analyze historical project database.
  • Identify and implement processes to improve database accuracy and quality.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop cost estimating tools and manage their calibration on regular basis.
  • Act as a senior resource and lead or coordinate various special studies and other initiatives relating to cost, project development, and project performance analysis.
  • Lead the creation of various reports and deliverables for the senior management.
  • Proactively identify, coordinate, and implement process improvements in the project development, cost tools and related areas to improve quality and accuracy of capital projects.
  • Facilitate project definition sessions with a team of domain experts to quantity capital cost contingency.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree and Professional Engineering (P Eng) designation with APEGA.
  • Minimum of six years of proven experience in cost engineering, data management, data analytics, cost estimating, project controls or project management.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and basic programming or coding concepts is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Association of Advancement in Cost Engineering (AACE), and Project Management Institution (PMI) principals would be considered an asset.
