About the role
- Provide engineering support to field personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of region facilities.
- Participate in Region safety program and station and construction site audits.
- Perform assigned duties during emergency response activities.
- Manage small operating and capital projects, developing and managing the project from the budget proposal stage through construction and closeout.
- Provide support to Project teams in developing and implementing larger projects in the region.
- Assist Pipeline Maintenance Services, Maintenance, and Operations on technical and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with technical standards group to ensure engineering standards, equipment specifications, and engineering construction specifications meet U.S. regulatory requirements and reflect U.S. practices.
- Establish working relationships with a cross section of partners within the company, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and services providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 4 years engineering experience.
- Ability to solve technical problems as they arise and make decisions on how a problem’s solution will impact the immediate problem and the system.
- Be able to regularly shift between planned and unplanned activities, while remaining effective despite the resulting disruptive effects.
- Shown capability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments and meet established deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong written communications abilities, including good spelling and grammar are essential for this position.
