Manage clinics on the BEST4 mobile unit and administer the Capsule Sponge test
Promote a welcoming, professional environment for participants and obtain informed consent
Complete the BEST4 participant screening visit as per study protocol and confirm participant safety
Perform Capsule Sponge tests and other clinical skills to care for participants, including emergency practices
Input and verify study data into the electronic Case Report Form (eCRF) and related research databases
Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, national directives, research governance and local policies
Liaise with National Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Research Team, project managers and study personnel across partner institutions
Identify recruitment barriers and implement actions, attend study meetings, and support re-training where required
Drive the BEST4 mobile units to scheduled research sites and travel across regions as needed
Requirements
Relevant healthcare qualification (e.g. Paramedic, Midwife, Radiographer, Dietitian or equivalent)
Continued CPD
Clinical experience working with patients
Significant clinical experience working with patients
Experience in working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
A good understanding of clinical research
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
Ability to work accurately and methodically with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and on own initiative
High level of organisational and time management skills
Excellent IT knowledge/skills and proficiency in MS Office Software
Full, Clean UK Manual Driving Licence and willingness to drive the BEST4 mobile unit
Willingness to travel and complete overnight stays as required
Desirable: Degree in a related subject area
Desirable: Registered Nurse (NMC)
Desirable: ICH GCP Training
Desirable: Training on Basic Life Support (BLS) or Immediate Life Support
Desirable: Prior research experience
Desirable: Upper GI or endoscopy experience
Desirable: Experience in Cancer Research
Desirable: Experience in Nurse led/Practitioner led clinics
Desirable: Prior experience of working with Capsule Sponge device
