Manage clinics on the BEST4 mobile unit and promote a welcoming environment for participants
Administer the Capsule Sponge test and complete the BEST4 participant screening visit per protocol
Confirm participant safety, obtain informed consent, and perform the Capsule Sponge test
Recruit participants, facilitate sample collection and enter data onto the electronic Case Report Form (eCRF) and research databases
Work autonomously to manage a caseload while collaborating with the BEST4 research team, Clinical Coordinator, and project managers at QMUL, Cambridge, CPTU and EMS
Ensure clinical and regulatory compliance in accordance with ICH-GCP, national directives and local research governance
Identify recruitment barriers and implement action plans to meet study objectives
Liaise with study personnel across partner organisations and attend relevant meetings
Drive BEST4 mobile units to research sites and travel to multiple locations, including overnight stays when required
Provide clinical support and perform other clinical skills, including emergency response as needed
Requirements
Registered nurse (NMC Registration)
Continued CPD
Previous research experience or Upper GI experience
Significant post-registration clinical experience
Experience in performing nurse-led clinics
Good understanding of clinical research
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
Ability to work accurately and methodically with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of organisational and time management skills
Excellent IT knowledge / skills and proficient in MS Office Software
Full, Clean UK Driving Licence
Willing to travel and complete overnight stays as required
Desirable: Knowledge of research regulations at national level
Desirable: Prior experience in cancer research and endoscopy
Desirable: Prior experience of working with Capsule Sponge device
