About the role
- Deliver comprehensive, financial plans that drive measurable outcomes for participants within Empower’s dedicated service model
- Lead proactive, needs-based conversations to uncover client goals and position appropriate Empower products and services that support their objectives
- Provide education and actionable guidance on topics such as managed accounts (My Total Retirement), rollovers, investment allocations, savings strategies, HSAs, and retirement income planning
- Act as an Investment Adviser Representative for Empower Advisory Group, offering tailored investment recommendations and leveraging Empower’s managed account platform
- Apply the CONSULT model to build trust and guide participants toward clear financial decisions
- Conduct outreach to current and former providers to facilitate client-directed transactions and ensure seamless implementation
- Document interactions accurately and efficiently using Salesforce and other internal systems
- Contribute to a culture of learning by sharing insights, strategies, and success stories with your peers
- Deliver a high-touch, ongoing service experience that supports clients before and after retirement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience (MBA preferred)
- Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation required
- FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required
- FINRA fingerprinting required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or the 401(k) industry
- At least 2 years of direct financial planning experience
- Proven ability to analyze and communicate a client’s complete financial picture, including investments, insurance, tax strategy, education planning, retirement, and estate considerations
