About the role

Develop, maintain, and enhance existing software builds and developer environments for Emerson's DeltaV process control system
Create and support next-generation cloud-based tools and automation
Support global development teams who build DeltaV
Collaborate with team members, product developers, and leadership to build and maintain the continuous delivery pipeline
Participate in agile practices including sprint planning, retrospectives, Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice
Research, prototype, and implement innovative technologies to strengthen software delivery processes
Develop automated processes to expand CI/CD pipeline and ensure release-ready products
Create scripts and programs to streamline routine and complex tasks
Drive continuous improvement in the DevOps environment and processes

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience
OR Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field with 6+ years of relevant experience
Skilled in C# with hands-on experience using Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio) on Windows OS
Expertise in Git source control
Strong scripting capabilities in PowerShell and/or Python
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps for creating, deploying, and maintaining Virtual Machines, CI/CD Pipelines, Builds, and Storage solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred: DevOps experience within the Software Development Lifecycle in enterprise-scale environments
Preferred: C++/C development experience
Preferred: Azure DevOps organization administration experience
Preferred: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certification
Preferred: Infrastructure-as-Code experience with tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
Preferred: IT infrastructure support experience (servers, networking) and monitoring platforms like Splunk
Preferred: Experience with static code analysis tools (SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity)
Preferred: Container orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
